Akshay Raj Singh Rathore work is informed by his long-term research on the farming crisis in India, and the connections between rural politics and global capitalism. Over the past decade, he has worked exclusively with natural and readymade materials such as leaf extracts and terracotta tiles.

 

He was trained in applied arts at Maharaja Sayajirao University in Baroda (1997- 2001), and in animation film design at National Institute of Design in Ahmedabad (2001-2004), both in India.
