Deeya Bhugra (b. 1995) has an artistic practice which is rooted in deep self-observation, unfolding as a visual and psychological journal of her experience of time. Primarily a painter, she employs stippling as a meditative technique to create multilayered abstract compositions. The act of stippling—minimal yet immersive—allows her to navigate intricate patterns of thought, manifesting in dense, nebulous worlds where clusters of dots dissolve, resurface, and merge, creating a sense of perpetual evolution.
Her work remains intentionally open-ended, embracing an inconclusive nature that mirrors the fluidity of perception and memory. She holds an MFA in Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts (SVA), New York and is currently based in New Delhi, India.
