Manman Zheng (b. 1990) is a Paris based textile artist. Trained at the Académie royale des Beaux-Arts de Bruxelles (ARBA-ESA) and the École supérieure d'art et de design TALM in Angers, she uses techniques of weaving and embroidery in her practice. The utilisation of threads in her processes as a means of self reflection and narrative expression of her personal journeys. For her, weaving the stagnation and transformation with the usage of blood red cotton threads that poignantly symbolizes the incurred pain which is inseparable in an evolution. 

 

Zheng’s works have been presented in group exhibitions such as Passantes (2025), Verukal (2024). She was also part of the FITE - Biennale textile - Clermont-Ferrand (2024).
