Nachiket Prakash (b. 1990) lives and works in Pune, India. He is an artist, educator, and curator whose practice explores the intersections of past, present, and future, questioning the boundaries of time and human limitations. His work incorporates materials that capture traces of time, such as old paper, dry flora and fauna, and line drawings that depict the present.

 

He graduated from the College of Fine Arts in 2013 and has since dedicated over a decade to art education, curating exhibitions, and working as an installation artist. He is a visiting faculty member at Flame University and MIT School of Fine Arts, Pune.

 

Nachiket Prakash has played a significant role in the contemporary art scene, co-curating and coordinating the 2017 Pune Biennale and curating Prakalp Pune at TIFA Working Studios (2019). From 2017-19, he curated and managed Zaga Studio, Pune. He is a fellow of the Art Think South Asia (ATSA) arts management program, Pune chapter, and is currently represented by Gallery Art&Charlie, Mumbai. He has designed and led numerous programs, exhibitions, workshops, and camps aimed at fostering the art and education landscape in Pune and beyond.
