Samiksha (b. 1993) lives and works in Dhanbad, India. She is an emerging artist whose work challenges and critiques societal norms, with a focus on patriarchy and the male gaze. Her practice visualizes text as an image to communicate social and cultural dynamics, transforming into layered narratives that reflect hidden stories and challenges faced by women.

She completed her Bachelor’s (2015) and Master’s (2017) in Fine Arts from Visva Bharati University, Santiniketan, and pursued a diploma in Arts and Design from ESADMM, Marseille, France (2019). She also studied Mandarin and Calligraphy at the China Academy of Art, which deeply influences her visual language.

Samiksha has been part of exhibitions at Gallery 78, Hyderabad (2023); Atelier Hyph, France (2019); Ganges Art Gallery (2017); and Birla Art Academy Annual Exhibition (2017). She has also participated in Kochi Students Art Biennale (2016) and the 80th Annual Exhibition, Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata. She has received several awards and fellowships, including the Krishnakriti Fellowship, supported by Campus France (2018-2019); Chinese Government Scholarship (2017); and Young Artist Scholarship, India (2017).
