Supriyo Manna (b. 1993) lives and works in Kochi, India. His practice is informed by the flux between geographical, psychological, and philosophical spaces. Engaging with history, body, and memory, his work seeks to mummify landscapes, experiences, and phenomena. His process draws from native knowledge systems, intersecting with botany, anthropology, museology, architecture, and urban planning.
He completed his MFA in Painting from Visva Bharati University, Santiniketan (2017) and a BFA from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata (2015). In addition to his artistic practice, he is a guest lecturer at the College of Fine Arts, CKP, Bengaluru.
Supriyo Manna has exhibited at SD Ahuja Museum for Arts, Kolkata; Students Biennale, Kochi (2016); Shristi Art Gallery, Hyderabad; Kalakriti Art Gallery, Hyderabad; and Art Ichol, Madhya Pradesh. He has been awarded the Space Studio Baroda Fellowship (2022-2023), Alternative Art School Fellowship, USA (2022), Lalit Kala Akademi Research Fellowship (2017-2018), and Scholarship for Young Artists by the Ministry of Culture, India (2016).
